Are you looking for the original sounds of Brazilian samba drumming for your event?
Well then Let us bring you the musical sounds of Rio De Janerio direct to you with the SSA Samba drumming workshop.
Filled with high energy moves, beats and rhythms to get your children up and moving it provides a real sense of culture and discovery. All our workshops can be tailored to suit you and your event, so if you need a short session for your After school club or need a full day of fun for a large event we can provide you with some of the UKs leading Samba practitioners.
Get Involved
From start to finish each workshop is full of drumming games, drumming challenges and even gives participants a chance to learn about the history of Samba drumming.
Sessions usually begin with some warm up exercises working with rhythm and body percussion, clapping and call and response. After an introduction into the cultural context of the music the participants are introduced to the instruments and will be taught a series of rhythms to be played as a group.
Once this is achieved, all the rhythms are put together as well as introducing a series of visual and aural cues to follow, which bring about a change in the music.
Ideal for so many events both large and mid size groups are welcome and ideal for both younger and older participants .
The workshops can collaborate traditional dance moves if you would like to include dance in the workshop.
