Self Esteem Workshop: 2 parts 1 hour each.

Facilitator: Youth Work Team.

This workshop looks at what self esteem is and what the effects are on us.

Students will be asked to think about where self esteem comes from and who/what influences how much self esteem we all have.

To help understand this, students will identify qualities and characteristics of good and bad esteem, discuss ways of developing

self esteem and experience receiving positive feedback with peers.

The youth work team can work alongside Teachers and Youth Workers to tailor the workshop around your event.

This workshop is designed for young people aged 11-21

Respect Workshop: 1.5-2 hour session

Facilitator: Youth Work Team.

The respect tutorial is a fun, active and reflective session lasting 1.5-2hrs The aims of the tutorial are to…

• Be able to define the term respect.

• Be able to recall the Circle of Respect.

• Recognise the positive rewards of respectful behaviour.

The session is very open and encourages discussion from participants on the wider theme of respect, how we each have differing values and judgements and how making important choices can effect how we behave and in turn how others respond to us.

The session has a mixture of hands on and reflective activities, catering for different learning styles; the session is also flexible and can be moulded to suit differentiation within groups, (if we are informed of the any special requirements beforehand).

Conflict Management/gangs work: 2 - 5 hours

Facilitator: Youth Work Team

This workshop explores conflict and what young people do in these situations. We facilitate the young people's discussion and exploration of how they react and deal with conflict situations. The workshop is design to engage everyone with a wide range of learning styles used to ensure every person can actively get involved. We explore the responsibilities, perceptions and feelings. There are plenty activities, debriefs and exploration opportunities throughout the workshop.

This session can also be extended to looking at gangs and issues relating to them.

The youth work team can work alongside Teachers and Youth Workers to tailor the workshop around your event.

Team Building: 2 hour session

Facilitator: Youth Work Team

The team building workshop aims to look at why team building is important. We work to identify the different roles within a group, to demonstrate effective team work and to highlight effective team work. This is done through discussion and a range of different activities to explore this topic.
